Linda Franklin created Shining Service Worldwide™ in November 2010 when she began receiving emails from women serving in Afghanistan. She was publishing a blog on “female empowerment” and they thanked her for reminding them how powerful they were. From that moment Linda has been committed to helping all women connected to military service. Their sacrifices are many and public outreach has been limited. Like too many women, they have fallen through the cracks.

Every time Linda interacts with these fabulous women, the warmth and love they show confirms that what she is doing is right. Their courage, their loyalty, their dedication is something she hadn’t experienced during her long career in Wall Street. She was inspired.

Frank Amalfitano, President and CEO of United Veterans Beacon House has graciously shared his vast knowledge and experience working in the veteran community. Shining Service is a special women’s project under the Beacon House not-for-profit umbrella. It’s a solid partnership with a common goal.
